揭开爱女死亡之迷
今集玩家会继续扮演主角Sam Fisher，调查他的女儿Sarah Fisher被杀的秘密。表面上，Sarah的死亡只是一宗普通的交通意外，但当他发现杀死她的司机继续逍遥法外，而国家并未作出任何行动，就像将Sarah在世上抺掉一样；这令曾经在行动中被挚友出卖、被国家背弃、被服务多年的组织 – 第三梯队出卖的Sam决定离开，抛弃他的所有，以背叛者的身份独自去调查Sarah死亡的真相。

擅用环境完美潜入
除马耳他岛的行动外，玩家的主要活动都在美国首都华盛顿，游戏将华盛顿的阴暗一面呈现于玩家面前，在各个名胜的背后，一步步接近黑暗的真相。身为前精英特工，玩家可以依赖Sam超凡的身手及利用各种建筑物的特点，选择上百种的潜入方法，跨越高墙，消失于黑暗之中。游戏中的光源能提供最佳的掩护环境，玩家必须好好利用场地的光源变化去进行活动，当玩家被发现时可以躲进黑暗中，选择下次的行动。今集加入新黑白功能，当画面变成黑白代表敌人看不见你，相反画面呈现彩色即已曝露在灯光下。
Unreal 3 引擎展现出强烈电影感
游戏采用Unreal Engine 3引擎制作，不但提升画面质素更为游戏加入潜入功能，Sam可借用短墙或障碍物来迅速前进，秒间已到达敌人身后作出致命攻击。今集利用投射的方式将任务及故事情节逐一交代，令游戏进度更流畅，大大加强电影感。
利用黑暗作武器：Last Known Position
游戏提供的2大全新动作系统，让玩家随时无声无色潜入、杀人于无形。当玩家在潜入时被敌人的光源照到，游戏的Last Known Position系统，会制造出躲入黑暗前的最后残影，敌人会包围并攻击残影最后出现的地方，此时玩家就可利用这刻的空隙，隐藏自己的身影，绕到敌人的后面进行突击。
快速歼灭敌人：Mark & Execute
当玩家面对2个或以上的人时，秘密潜入的难度就会以倍数增加，游戏的另一新动作系统Mark & Execute便可以大派用场。当玩家面对多名敌人时，身处黑暗的玩家可以配合环境选择要消灭的敌人次序，最后再一次性发动攻击，配合Last Known Position系统，玩家的行动更是所向披靡，无往不利。
但有一点必须注意，每种武器可以的进行Mark & Execute行动的数量是有限制的，例如手枪可同时消灭2名敌人，而霰弹枪就可消灭3名敌人；但使用霰弹枪却会因为枪声太大而引来更多敌人，而手枪上的灭声器就可无声无色完成动作；所以玩家在行动前必须想清楚每一步的战术，而且往后每一版的敌人警觉性亦会更高，有效的战术才能让敌人活在恐惧之中。
为求目的不择手段
求得出事真相，往往需要将敌人捉起来严刑拷问。玩家在捉到要拷问的对象后，更可因应现场环境不同的状况，与环境互动，使用现场的对象，将敌人撞上镜子、木枱甚至墙壁等各种残酷的动作，帮助玩家套取所需信息。
与众不同的合作体验
全新的多人联机模式，令你感受另一种《Splinter Cell》的魅力，沉迷于Xbox Live上的世界。玩家将会在合作模式中与朋友合作，投入另一个全新的故事世界。
合作模式的故事将会带玩家回到单人模式的予章，让玩家到俄罗斯解除恐怖组织对美国华盛顿的威胁：4枚俄罗斯制造的EMP弹头被偷走并卖到黑市武器市场，第三梯队及俄罗斯特工组织Voron携手合作，派出美国特工Archer及俄罗斯特工Kestrel，深入俄罗斯最黑暗的地带。身为各自选出的精英，Archer及Voron必须衷诚合作，尽量发挥技术及默契，找回被偷走的弹头。
变化莫测的多人模式
玩家可以在多人模式Deniable Ops Missions中与朋友合作，在6款截然不同的版图中，选择3种难度级别，进行4种不同的多人模式：
1 Hunter：
•i 消灭地图内的所有敌人
•ii 若被发现敌人会实时召来增援
2 Last Stand
•i 阻止敌人破坏EMP弹头
•ii 若玩家躲在黑暗中，敌人将集中火力破坏弹头
•iii 以自己作饵引开敌人注意，去争取维修EMP弹头的机会
3 Infiltration
•i 在不被发现的情况下消灭所有敌人
4 Face-Off
•i 版图上充满A.I.敌人的对抗战
•ii 消灭计算机A.I.可取得分数，消灭敌对玩家可得更高分数
个人化的游戏系统
玩家可以透过完成各个游戏模式及任务去取得积分，利用所得的积分去游戏中的Locker Room购买各种升级及装备。玩家在Locker Room可以自由购买武器、制服及配件去个人化玩家于多人模式的角色。

█ █ of the Settlers 7 game and patched it to work from there. █ █

█ █ d) To make these "cracks" work correctly you still have to █ █
