BEFORE going on to install FSUIPC4, please note the following SEVERE

All of these stem from the SimConnect part of FSX, which FSUIPC4 and other
5 C, b7 V$ q/ P, @add-ons use to talk to FSX. SimConnect uses the Internet TCP/IP protocol
K) e* q# w, A0 E) B/ K, Sto talk to FSX, and the Security programs insert hooks into this path
4 P' A. x- e8 x1 Hwhich can adversely affect SimConnect's operation.

FSUIP4 installs okay, it says its okay, but you load FSX and still find no
5 c0 p7 ?, L, q) A1 y) d"Add-Ons" menu. FSUIPC4 logs prove that FSUIPC4 is running okay, but that
3 P% s4 u i$ v5 j5 k6 Tit never gets any information from SimConnect.

matter of telling the firewall or privacy program to trust FSX, to move it 8 b. K2 i0 B3 T0 _& N3 h% V
to the trusted and internet zones.& v' Q7 K' Z& Y% d0 z2 C
However, in other cases the only solution found by the users was to
$ F6 w3 g7 X) G5 R4 G1 p/ auninstall their security software and either install an alternative or to * P+ @: D Q- r |$ R& [. T9 @
reinstall the same package but with fewer options. For example, one user
# |- ]* V: L) Z+ a: A2 Ofound that the McAfee "privacy" service can give problems but reinstalling " S8 ?( A O ^" h* K/ [, u" g
without that fixes them. The free versions of AVG and AVAST programs seem 2 k/ x# g: E+ g& N s4 o
to be okay according to reports.
