DOM vs HERO (Part 1) 第一部分
Hi all
I thought you might be interested to hear how DOM got on with our match against HERO last night. In short not well but we gave them something to remember

This was DOM's first proper clan match (excluding the training sessions with SAF and DF) and I think the team did very well given we were up against a well established and larger clan (HERO has 300+ players;;).
这是首场DOM的正式战队间的比赛（与SAF和DF的训练赛除外），我觉得我们做的相当不错，尤其是与一个有相当规模的大战队比赛（HERO队员超过300人）。
Anyway without further ado here are the match reports. We played Aberdeen and Stalingrad last night and will be playing Battleaxe tonight (hence the part 1 in the title ). We lost all 4 rounds
不再赘言，下面是战事报道。我们昨晚比赛了Aberdeen和Stalingrad，今天晚上将比赛Battleaxe（因此我特地取名第1部分）。我们4局都输了。

ABERDEEN
Overall we played better as Axis than Allied. We started as Allied and though we started well and executed the opening part of our plan with success it was a tough fight from that point onwards. HERO demonstrated superb tanking skills and coupled with well executed formations they soon had us on the defensive. Whenever we encountered a HERO tank there was always one or two nearby providing support. Their use of formations was excellent and in the end was probably the key difference between them and us.

Playing Axis we fared much better. Our initial charge was well done and we soon had 4 flags. We had learnt from the previous game and tried to work in groups of 2-3 tanks. This time we were better prepared and we exacted a high toll on HERO as they strove to recover the flags and retake the initiative. To the credit of the DOM team I don' think they ever did quite recover the initiative from us. For large periods of the battle HERO and DOM held equal number of flags with 2/3 in a constant flux of change...first Axis, then Allied and then back to Axis.

The DOM were fighting like men possessed and held their ground with tenacity and pure stubborness;; This eventually paid of as towards the end of the round DOM hit back hard at HERO and captured 5 of the 7 flags. HERO counter attacked but they didnt find it easy to recapture the flags. Unfortunately for DOM this all came too late in the game for us to turn the tide of the game and we had to concede defeat again to a well organised and skillful opponent...but the DOM did themselves proud;

STALINGRAD
We started as Allied and for the first 10 mins of the game we held our own against HERO...the ticket counts were more or less even and for periods of time we had 2 of the 3 flags thanks to some superb close quarter fighting by the team. However once again HERO's excellent organisation and tactics began to swing the battle their way and we soon lost control of the important north flag for the last time. We were also cuaght unawares by HERO's tactic of sneaking a tank into our main base; This was a brilliant tactic on their part as we had to devote considerable time and men to nullify that threat. This gave HERO enough time to regroup and launch a major offensive which in the end deemed too strong for DOM to resist and we were forced back to our main base towards the end of the game. Nevertheless we still managed to launch a number of small counter attacks and the south flag was never really secured by HERO. We fought valiantly till the very end but the amazing accuracy of HERO's players and their relentless attacks eventually left them victorious...but not without a few bruises to show for the fight with DOM;;

The final round as Axis proved to be too much for the DOM. Battered and bruised by the last 3 rounds, the team was mentally and physically exhausted and we were soon fighting for our lives against the red tide of HERO fighters. After a number of heroic counter attacks to try to capture and secure our north flag, the DOM were eventually forced back to our main base under a heavy barrage of tank fire from HERO. Soon it became a vicious fight amongst our main base, with the DOM trying desparately to break out and make a dash for a flag. Many good DOM died during this period but yet we never gave up; Through the constant barrage of tank fire and grenades the spirits of the DOM would be raised every now and then when we saw one of our own on the minimap break through the Red army's cordon of death and head for a flag. Breaths were held as we watched our lone comrade approach a flag.....but everytime our hopes were dashed when we saw that lone arrow on the minimap disappear
最后一局（作为德军）对DOM而言简直是不堪入目。前3个回合失败的打击，战队无论从精神上还是身体上已经精疲力竭，我们很快就陷入HERO纷至叠来的红色攻击浪潮。在经过有限的几次试图夺回北方点的勇敢反击后，我们最终被HERO的坦克逼回基地。很快战局演变成险象环生的基地屠杀，伴随着我们绝望的突围抢点的努力。许多优秀的队员捐躯征途但却从未放弃！在持续的坦克炮击和手雷火力下，DOM的无畏精神不时高扬，尤其是当我们从小地图上看到一个队员冲破红军的死亡封锁线奔赴据点的时候，我们几乎摒住呼吸注视这位无助的同志接近一个据点......但是每次我们的希望都被无情地粉碎，只能看着那个孤独的箭头从小地图中消失。
The end was near but the DOM never gave up and I'm sure HERO thought this was what it must have been like in the real Stalingrad against the remaining remnants of the German forces trapped in the city. The DOM remained resolute and unyielding to the last man...taking as many HEROs as they could before the inevitable end.
战局渐终，但DOM从未言弃，尽管我相信HERO认为这正如现实Stalingrad战役一样，残存的德军绝望地陷入城市的汪洋。DOM毅然地、不屈不挠地战至最后一人...尽其所能抗击HERO队员直到无法避免的失败。
Well I may have exercised some artistic license in the narration above (especially towards the end ) but I hope it gave you all who werent there a feel for the games last night. Even though we lost they were great fun to play and I think all of us enjoyed the experience. We definitely learnt a lot from HERO and hopefully we can use this experience to become a better clan...
